METAMORPHOSIS (PHASE II)

Some things don't become what you originally imagined. They become something better.

Metamorphosis began with a vision that was supposed to exist much earlier.

Originally, I designed it as a black zip up (which the sample was dope but not there yet), the piece was meant to be released in January 2024. But when the timeline didn't work, the vision had to change and quickly. 

Instead of forcing it, I stepped back and let it evolve.

The design became Phase I otherwise known as the cashmere beanie drop, this helped me meet my drop date without changing and helped me get creative to bring an elevated product to my audience. 

Then came this hoodie. 

I wasn't sure the brown would work especially with the artwork being red and bedazzled in red rhinestones as well. This experience allowed me to trust on my vision and the power of my imagination because no matter how good the mock-ups are, you never know how the real product will end up being. But at some point, you have to stop asking "should I do this or that" and go with the decision that makes you feel grounded in your beliefs and feel like you can stand on your creative choices. 

I trusted my vision and shortly after this became Metamorphosis Phase II.
